Operation Management System (OMS)

It is critical that clients view Shiners as efficient and reliable to deal with. Shiners provides a work process manual that explains the commitment we have in attaining international standards. Shiners adheres to the strict standards within the Operation Management System (OMS).

Since attaining ISO 9001: 2000, Shiners Maintenance has adopted the OMS System designed by the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board. This inspection system assesses whether the services defined and agreed between two parties have met the quality level.

Led by a team from the Business Development Group, zone managers have classified every assignment into different elements for inspection purposes. This inventory method has proven very successful. Instead of the traditional fire fighting methods, Shiners adopted the strategic method of diagnosing the actual root of the problem and then designing an action plan to handle the project within time frames.

Quality benchmarks set by PSB have been introduced to ensure standards agreed by service providers and clients are met. The projects are further categorised by assigning priority and non-priority zones at different times of the day. This helps to cater to clients’ needs very specifically. When commencing on new projects, we always specially design and present a tailored work process for our client.

With a performance method system where the actual man-head is not an issue, Shiners ensures the most competitive pricing among our competitors.

Shiners’ standard process includes regular reviews with frontline staff, site feedback, and evaluation of suppliers’ products and work.
